Good. Whoa isn't that awful - the pictures and stories coming out of LA .... I've looked up Dan's area - I believe he is more South. ????

Somehow we have managed to miss the main snowfall, we are on the coast so the salt air usually impacts the abaility of the snow to linger.
But, it's bitterly cold, wind chill has us in the minus 3 and more area, but, it's fresh clean air and something the residents of LA would be more than happy for

For once I'd be willing to trade for a day or two.

I've ben watching that too. All of our local and affiliate network TV channels are covering this fire, except CBS is sticking with Jimmy Carter's funeral stuff. We're fine here. it's about 35 miles in a straight line to where the fire is. Right now it's not even windy at our house but we aren't near any canyons like where the fire is. The canyons funnel the wind and up in that area all the canyons have roads leading up from the ocean into the hills and if the canyons are wide enough, they are full of homes and apartments, businesses, and homeless encampments. This fire started and took off like a rocket. There wasn't even time in the beginning to order evacuation alerts because it was spreading fast and leap frogging due to the wind. It's bad. It will be sometime before they're able to determine how it started, but many times it's due to a homeless encampment where somebody was cooking or whatever and a campfire got out of hand.

Dan!, I just saw on the news on my phone actually on James Woods off of X … but are you involved in this evacuation for the fires every time I try to look it up it wants to give me fire locations and other places in California in other months years I can't figure out where it is. Are you all OK?

We're getting fire weather for the next couple of days. Strong dry winds off the desert blowing through the canyons and mountain passes. Fingers crossed we won't have any brush fires. This season we've had enough homes burn already.

Sorry, Fours, cannot agree on that one. This snow means we are confined to the house, no shopping, no walking for exercise. Hope it goes soon
