Dan - how are y'all? The winds?

Winds have been strong but not as bad as feared. There have been a couple of fires but they got jumped on right away and didn't get big enough to take off. It's beautiful right now. 75F and calm.

Got another extreme wind event kicking in in a few hours. We've had four of these since October and three have resulted in big fires, with the last one being the worst obviously.

YB: If we don't have to get out in it - I enjoy the cold, snow, we IMG_8285.jpg t ... hot chocolate - chili - homemade soups -- YUM! But I do miss my summer BLT's!

I suppose we are having typical north of England winter weather, no better nor worse than normal.

But for Dan ... watching Ryan Hall on YouTube -- he's the best weather guy out there. ANYWAY. he's watching the winds this week. Y'all take care!

Now we are in a mini heatwave temps around plus 8 to 10 for the week

Scary stuff ... PLUS earthquakes too! We have - tornadoes. That's about it I think. Y'all take care - the whole world is watching - it's sad.

Good. Whoa isn't that awful - the pictures and stories coming out of LA .... I've looked up Dan's area - I believe he is more South. ????

Yep, five miles straight west of Disneyland.

Somehow we have managed to miss the main snowfall, we are on the coast so the salt air usually impacts the abaility of the snow to linger.
But, it's bitterly cold, wind chill has us in the minus 3 and more area, but, it's fresh clean air and something the residents of LA would be more than happy for
