Sounds nice! Lake & snow! Seems like the perfect time to bundle up for hot chocolate & relaxing music!

We have been away for the weekend with daughter, grandson and his girlfriend. When I say weekend, just one night (Saturday). We have been the the area of England known as the Lake District. It's about 100 miles from us, a little bit west and mainly north. The lake that we stayed beside is called Windermere. it is the largest of the six or so lakes in the area and the largest in England.

Putting it into perspective Windermere is approx 11 miles long by 1 mile wide. The largest lake in the US is Superior at 350 miles long by 160 miles wide at it's extremes.

When we got up on Saturday morning there was fresh snow on the ground and the trip was in doubt but it got warmer and by the time we got there the snow had all melted. We had some rain Saturday afternoon but Sunday was much better. Back home around 5.30

Well, you know the saying "when it rains ...so last week kidney stone surgery & I mentioned he missed a funeral - it was his mom's sister, they were the closest of her family. THEN Wednesday night - 2 days after Kevin's B-day --- his MOM PASSED away suddenly. We're unsure of the cause. He's at the funeral home now - wow it's a lot.
    Hug ur family -

Are any of y'all traveling for the Holiday's? We'll just go into Alabama - which is a 2 hour drive. Thanksgiving AND Christmas. ***. By the way YB we pass by the Jack Daniels distillery EVERY time we go, haha!

Hey y'all thx for checking in. Sure must have sensed something - he's had the worst time with this. He's missed work, a funeral, bowling... it's been unusually rough. TODAY is his birthday, 61. He's going to try to go into work.
I hope ALL of you are well & having a good week.

Heading out in the morning for ANOTHER kidney stone surgery. The lithotripsy didn't DO ANYTHING this summer. So the 3 that are in there in the R side will come out with a scope & basket retrieval. Yuk. This is ~ maybe 38-40???
