We recently watched The Magnificent 7 (2016). I liked it a lot, but I'm partial to cowboy movies so I might not be the best guy to ask. Last night we watched Meryl Streep and Hugh Grant in Florence Foster Jenkins. I enjoyed that more than I thought I would. There's a side to the story that doesn't come out in the trailers that made it more interesting. I liked seeing the kid who plays Howard in The Big Bang Theory in a different role (and different haircut) too.sigpic The rules are: There ain't no rules.

I went to see Manchester By The Sea, the wife picked it and I expected it to be poor.
Glad to say that after a slowish start the story line got much better, an excellent movie 8.5 / 10I haven't failed, i've merely found 10,000 reasons why it didn't work

Watched The Accountant. And yes! it was good. I like Ben Affleck. Loved Reindeer Games, Pearl Harbor, The Sum of all Fears, Gone Girl, ARGO, Armageddon, even Forces of Nature, & Bounce was ok & WHOA! Changing Lanes was wild. Good Will Hunting was better the last time I watched it - with me a little older - otherwise the Damon "bad boy" character was a little off putting - for me.

Watched Passengers with a friend in Pathe 3D this weekend. It didn't do well in the U.S. but I really enjoyed it. Some plot-holes, but didn't bother me. Beautiful visualization of a giant spaceship (5000+ passengers).

We saw Hidden Figures. We enjoyed it a lot. There was an episode of the TV show Timeless that touched on this subject before the winter break. I wonder if the writers of that show knew about this movie and borrowed ideas from it. Bet they did.Originally posted by Meg View PostI've heard good things about Hidden Figures from a couple people.
And one person hated LaLaLand and another loved it.
4A hope you find The Accountant, I really enjoyed that movie.sigpic The rules are: There ain't no rules.
