Not, yet. Plan to watch it in Amsterdam, Pathe Arena in 3D/IMAX. Loved the book.

Yep. 7.5/10 from me. I thought it was interesting and worth seeing though a little hard to believe in parts and needed more character development.

Thanks Style ... I kinda thought that. And I'd like to see Bridge of Spies & A Walk in the Woods. But right now, and for the last 3-4 weeks - things have been on hold. Can't get too far away from home.

I've heard A Walk in the Woods isn't great. I need to read that book & The Martian before seeing the movies...which means DVD for me!

Both books are outstanding! Maybe Bryson could've done a little less sidebar stuff, but that's Bryson. The Martian is chock full of science/tech/math stuff, but Weir makes it extremely accessible and it wasn't a problem to hang with it. Even from the movie trailer I can see that it deviates from the book. To the detriment of the movie? I don't know. We tried to see it last Friday night. It had been open a week already and we were at the theater 20 minutes early, but the only two seats together were in the front row. I'd rather wait than sit in the front row.

I'm looking forward to Bridge of Spies but will have to wait until it comes out in DVD.

I would have walked out, but was with a big group of ladies & the theater was full.
