Does an avocado tree get very big? I actually don't know anything about them. Just started eating guacamole in 2016. Never had it before-couldn't get pass the look of it! 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑

Batten down the hatches Dan, good that you weren't near the dam where the spillway broke and people had to be evacuated. Stay safe, maybe prop up your avocado tree so that the wind doesn't take it down.

Today is a beautiful sunny day up to 65! And I AM going to drive the rocket! I have a LIST of things to do ... I've been lazy the past few weeks.
Dan, just read about your weather out there, it's 52? WOW. Looks to be bad tonight. I guess you'll just need to stay home - Netflix & Chill (ha!) as the "kids" say now. Stay safe! If you need a good book to read I recommend The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen or The Murder House by James Patterson. OR Michael Crichton's AirFrame & MICRO.

Thank you! The tree is still standing. Actually the tree is still down, but the branch is standing with 9 or 10 avocados remaining. LOTS of of buds for the next crop though! We don't have cable or Dish, we have OTA (Over The Air). Our landline phone was out for a week or so though.

And on a different note do u still have ur & how is ur turtle [emoji217]?

We still have Chuck. He is hibernating, but I'll assume he is okay. If he is not out and about in a month, I'll be worried.

We were just saying yesterday when will our [emoji883] chipmunks be back out??? And I'll be dang if this morning there wasn't one on the back deck shoving his mouth full of bird seed!!!

Bright, sunny and mild today. Almost like Spring but not counting on it, we could still get more cold weather. Had a birthday visit from friend, Anne, who helps me with the house cleaning (she does the house cleaning and I just potter around and do tidying - and the laundry ) and she brought her new beau, a really nice man around her age, she is in her 60's, and it's clear this could be a lasting relationship. I'm so pleased for her, she lived with an alcoholic husband for 20 years and he died four years ago when his liver gave out. She looks so pleased and happy. It was lovely to see her so happy after so many miserable years.

Mo how nice that sounds. Always good to have a friend over. AND one that will help out! Sounds almost like a family member. Does she live far from you? Does she visit often? I think you've posted about her before, right?

Mild the last few days then frost last night and cool today.

We're had very warm days. this weekend though it's going to drop 25 degrees. Oh great - we have plans to help tear down my parents old shed. 50's still isn't bad ... it's just going to be a little muddy.
