It's several weeks since I gave a list of my readings but there are only 8 on the list. I don't know why but I don't seem to read as much as I used to.
Robert Goddard - This is the night they came for you, Abandoned this before half way. I have read lots by this author and really liked them. They are all standalones. This latest did not float my boat
Lynda La Plante - Vanished. As usual for this lady - good
Brian Mcgilloway - The empty room. It's a few years since I read one by this author but it was very good
No less the devil - Stuart MacBride, This is the night they came for you, Abandoned this before half way. I have read lots by this author and really liked them
Murder at Flaxton Isle - Greg Wilson. New author to me, free Kindle book. Good
The murder book - Mark Billingham. The latest in the Tom Thorne series, which I like, although this one perhaps not as good as others
The adulterer's handbook - Sam Anthony. New author to me, quite a few sex scenes if that offends anyone. The biggest disappointment was the fact that the story does not end here. Murders have been committed but I will need to find the next in the series to find out if the perp is apprehended.
No way back - Rick Mofina. This man is always a decent readComment

Mark Billingham - Scaredy Cat. An older one in the Tom Thorn series
Graham Hurley - Lights Down. Enora Andressen series. I like these
Brian Freeman - The Deep Deep Snow. Shelby Lake Series. Good but I like his Jonathan Stride series berst
Carolyn Arnold - the Ties That Bind. Madison Knight series
Lynda La Plante - Dark Room. Latest in the Jane Tennyson series
Peter Robinson - Before The Poison. This man usually writes about Detective Alan Banks but this is a rare standalone for him. It's a few years old but I liked itComment

I read Craig Johnson's latest Longmire offering, HELL AND BACK. It was a different kind of book than the rest have been. Johnson (for the very first time in 17 books) even delved into the 3rd person POV for parts of it. It's one that will have to read a few times to get everything out of it. I enjoyed it though. I have re-read the Reacher books several times plus some of the Graham Hurley (Joe Faraday) ones. If the library doesn't get some on the new ones I fancy soon then i'll be re-reading the Charlie Priest series.Comment

4AM, have you read all of Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire novels? Really good stories and only occasioanally do I find myself thinking "Okay, that one isn't quite as good as most of the others." Craig is VERY consistent, although the last book was a departure. It wasn't bad, just different. Peter James - Picture you dead. The new one in the Roy Grace series. Excellent as always.
RC Bridgestock - Vengeance. A former resident of my town and the books are set in my area so plenty of familiar locations
Jeffrey Deaver - The midnight lock. In the Lincoln Rhyme sries. I have been aware of this author and series for a long time but this is the first time I have read one. Good but doesn't make me want rush out to get another, if one finds me then I'll gladly give it a goComment
