Brouwer - I know that last post was in the wrong spot; we have a R.I.P. post but I couldn't find it while on my iPhone. Do y'all remember him & Richard Pryor in a funny movie? I can't remember the name now, but for the year - that was funny. Of course Willy Wonka, but to be honest when we were younger and watched it - he seemed very OFF to me. Now I know it was his style & the character he was playing. And OM gosh! Blazing' Saddles has to be oh me! It's too funny!
The scene where Sam Pickens is dictating a letter out by the railroad "tell them I said ... OWWW!" Then the BEST scene in the movie is the No. 6 - when Pickens & Korman are talking in the office & Pickens says "we go a ridin' a whomping' that whole scene is gr8!Last edited by 4AMNTN; 30-08-2016, 03:19 PM.

Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor were first together in Silver Streak. GREAT, funny movie, especially if you like trains! It has a lot of stars besides those two. Jill Clayburgh, Patrick McGoohan, Ray Walston, Ned Beatty, Richard Kyle, Scatman Crothers, and even Jane Curtin. And end was as intense as an action thriller! They teamed up again in Stir Crazy (FUNNY!) and they did a couple movies after that that weren't as funny, but they were a wonderful team.Originally posted by 4AMNTN View PostDo y'all remember him & Richard Pryor in a funny movie? I love Blazing Saddles! Gene had all the best lines. And No WAY could you make that movie today! We have regressed so far in some ways with our politically correct world.

Dan, yes! I watched the clip - of the number 6 & after he makes his rape remark I usually stop it, but I watched all the way thru - funny stuff & true couldn't do that today in a movie. ----- delete delete delete, sorry Stir Crazy, that's it.
