What's your weather like?

Heavy rain all day today, dogs didn't want to go outside, had to be coaxed, they don't like getting their feet wet. I guess we got the tail end of some of the heavy weather that hit Mexico.

Yeah, rainy here too, Mo, and freakishly warm all fall--highs in the upper 40s this week. We haven't had any snow yet--not even a little in the air (that I've seen, at least).

We actually have a chance of dipping below 60 degrees at night this week. Maybe. Then it warms up again. My box turtle is really wanting to start hibernating but the warm weather keeps him from settling in.

We've had this one since his mom laid 8 eggs in our side yard 7 years ago. His name is Chuck. We kept three of the 8, but two of them flipped themselves upside down in the sun (not on the same day) and died before they could flip back over. Chuck is the only one left. In fact, his birthday is coming up next month. He has a Facebook page (Chuck Turtlebefree) and a blog called Turtle Be Free (although since he got into Facebook, he's neglected the blog).

I visited Chuck's FB page .. he's really cute. Our weather is beautiful! In the 40's now & sunny. Rain this weekend. more?????

Raining again today. We received 5 and a half inches from the rain last week.

Mo, my Dachshund will go out when the weather is bad, but he won't do his business. He'll walk around a little then come straight back inside without lifting his leg. I guess he doesn't liking 'doing his business' on wet grass.

Our dog is the same if the grass is too long. She's like, "Ew! Not happening!"

Fortunately today is really dry and there's been a good breeze blowing so the dogs are happy to go out, wondering how the youngest one will do when there's snow on the ground. Dan, never had a turtle but I guess they would be fun to watch, don't know what the dogs would do though. Does your dog pay any attention to the turtle?

The dog literally quivers (as in PLEASE let me chew on that!) when she watches the turtle. Last spring when the turtle came out of hibernation, he escaped his side yard and the dog found him that night in the yard somewhere and gnawed the heck out of the edges of his shell at both ends. I think the turtle is still too traumatized to blog about it, but there are pictures on Facebook of how raggedy he looks now.

Went biking in western FL & it was in the high 80s!! Nothing like 'autumn' in FL

Sounds great Meg! It turned out to be a really nice day! SOOOO foggy this morning, but now it's nice.
