Our undecorated Christmas tree is still standing in the family room, lol. This is the longest we've ever left a tree up. I might put it away tonight.

Brouwer: is there an emoji for "mind blown" ??? I think I remember that going around during my elementary days??? As stated before I wasn't taught Roman numerals, fractions, or (U.S.) the metric system. I didn't take C.P. courses so "nope" to Mythology as well. Math wasn't required past 9th grade here.(then) The BASICS at that time was the norm. I did take Spanish & French, Biology, Medieval World History & DECA. And of course the year AFTER I graduated we had a girls softball team for the high school. So typical curriculum for around here (except for the C.P.) at that time. And we LIVED to play ball in the summer!!!

I forgot to mention that January 24th is my birthday.
Still received a nice mail!
"Hello Brouwer,
We at The Book Joint Forums would like to wish you a happy birthday today!"
Somehow they remembered!

My wife and children surprsed me with a couple of original presents...and a 'kwark-taart'! (I think it's called cottage-cheese cake in english, the sugar variety)
I got special cross-country gloves, hand-made chocolates (local), LEGO U.S.Capitol building and roses. What do you want more?

We're waiting for The Dent Doctor to come by --- a deer 🦌ran into Lil Baby Tuesday night. Lil Baby is our Smart car. Kevin said the impact scooted the car over but nothing else. I thought it would be MUCH worse. It hit between the door & the rear which is only 2 ft. Thank goodness it wasn't a windshield impact.Last edited by 4AMNTN; 27-01-2017, 10:09 PM.
